Being held on November 1st, this event is designed specifically for new and aspiring drivers who want to learn how to drive in a technical manner, in a safe, controlled, and fun environment
Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to brush up on your skills, this is the perfect opportunity to get behind the wheel
What to Expect:
Expert guidance from experienced instructors.
An at track session covering basic driving theory, car control, and track etiquette.
Tips on vehicle preparation and safety checks.
Guided practical sessions with an instructor riding shotgun, as well as solo runs.
A friendly, supportive atmosphere with other car enthusiasts.
Who is this for?
- Anyone who has never been involved with motorsport before.
- Drivers looking to gain confidence and improve their car control skills.
- Enthusiasts who want to learn more about their car's capabilities.
Event Schedule:
1130: Registration. Check-in at the registration desk
1200: Drivers' Briefing - Introduction and briefing for all participantsv - Review of safety rules, track layout, and flags
1215: Outdoor Classroom Session - Introduction to racing lines, braking, and steering techniques - Q&A with instructors
1230: Vehicle safety checks (scrutineering)
1245: Short break before practical driving
1250: On-Course Basic Session (Session 1) - First on-course session with instructors - Focus on basic car control and getting a feel for the courses
1345: On-Course Advanced Session (Session 2) - More track time to practice what you've learned - Instructors will provide personalized feedback
1445: Wrap-up and Debrief - Final Q&A with instructors - Share your experiences and get tips for future events
1500: BBQ and Prize giving
Vehicle Requirements:
A safe, well-maintained car with current WoF and Registration.
EV, Hybrid, Utilities, Vans, and Crossover/SUV vehicles are NOT permitted.
Driver Requirements:
Must be 13 years or older, under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Appropriate clothing (closed-toe shoes, long pants/sleeves). Cotton clothing is recommended.
What to Bring:
- Water or other beverages
- Snacks
- Sunscreen
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn
- And, don't forget fuel in your car!
